and our baby sitter fell through. The u/s place says you can't bring kids. We only need someone for about 1-2 hours... oh why did I take DS out of preschool for December!? I have been on pins and needles waiting for this u/s forever, I really don't want to try to reschedule... but DH is very excited to come too. Ahhh. I just called my neighbor and I hope she can help us out.
Re: Crapity crap! Big u/s tomorrow
I hope you find someone to help you out!!!! Good luck at the big u/s- so exciting! Too bad you can't bring your DS with you.
I have mine in January although I am not all that excited about it because at my NT scan the tech already made a gender guess (boy). Not exactly what I was hoping to hear so I feel like I'd like to hold off as long as possible on the big u/s so I can hold onto my dream of a little girl for a few weeks longer (yes, I am crazy!).

WTF? Sorry, but what kind of place bans kids?
I would be tempted to take your DS and say, what, are you going to throw us out??? Just make sure you bribe him with a lollipop so that he is an angel
OMG, I was just thinking that. Normally, I strictly adhere to requests for kids vs no kids, but I am really on the fence with this one. We don't have a sitter and I actually would prefer DS to be a part of this anyway... maybe it will make the baby more real to him.
I would be VERY uncomfortable going against the rules... but if they make an issue of it, we will just leave and get my u/s somewhere else... as a matter of fact, I might just call now to schedule an appt somewhere else for next week as a backup and give me confidence to deal with whatever comes tomorrow.
Unless it is an H1N1 risk, I would say that you want your son to be part of it. If they say no, he must leave. I would say, that is fine. You will be writing several letters to mother's groups letting them know of this exclusive rule and will be taking your business elsewhere.
this is what I thought, a lot of places are not letting kids around due to H1N1. I've heard of several OB offices not allowing them either.
So, if it's H1N1 then I completely understand. But if it's just "policy" then that sucks.
