We just got our NICU bill for $1,306,781.96

and this was just for the NICU! we also got bills for his surgeries ($126,000 total) and from other clinics (eye doctor, xrays, other lab tests $58,900)

 

oh my goodness thank the lord for tricare because we havent paid a penny out of pocket! we are so thankful and lucky!

We've had to pay more than I planned because we moved "out of network" a few weeks before carter was due...but obviously nothing at all like what the total bills are...thank God for insurance!!

Wow I'm glad you get all of that covered. We pay our Health Insurance through our taxes every year (Ontario Canada) so we basically don't pay anything at the hospital.

Yay for outrageous bills!  We got our last week and have tricare also.. but they mis-billed so I get to call and harass people.  Which reminds me.. I should call the hospital right now instead of bumping.. ha ha

our total for 2008 (for Robbie) was 1.9 million. Not sure what this years total will be.. but a lot (though nothing like that).. we are very fortunate not to have a lifetime cap. It's definitely something I've looked at when choosing insurance, though.

We were at about 1.1 million for 14 weeks. That too was not the doctors.  That was over 325,000. Wow! Thank goodness for insurance, we do not have a lifetime cap either, thank God!!!
