I go to Dr. Darrah at Obsetrics, Gynecology and Infertility in Maple Grove. Not exactly the same area - but close. OGI came very highly recommended from a friend who has had 2 babies. They have 3 offices - Robbinsdale, MG and Eden Prairie.
I have a friend who uses Dr. Williams at Andover Fairview clinic. She delivers all her own babies and also does peds care in addition to normal woman's health visits. My friend raves about her. I go to a midwife right now in Shoreview for my pregnancy but may switch to her once I have the baby because Andover is closer.
I will shout to the rooftops how awesome my OB is (and yeah, weird that I can get so excited about an OB, right?).
His name is Ron Gourneau and he practices at Allina Coon_Rapids Women's Clinic on Coon_Rapids Blvd, right across the street from Mercy. He is FAB. He's funny, he's kind, he has a wonderful nurse who is a hoot. He always answers my questions, never rushes out or makes me feel like I'm "just an appointment". He returns phone calls promptly and overall, he just makes you feel like a pal. None of that intimidating stuff. Just a really, really cool guy. He was so awesome, that after the first time I saw him (I rotated practitioners during my pregnancy with DS2), I requested him every time.
Mom to Jace (7/2004), Cade (2/2009) and baby girl (5/2019)
Re: OBGYN Recommendations around CoonRapids/Andover/Blaine
My OB is no longer at his private practice in *** Rapids and is now at the Allina Clinic, but I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Wust.

And yes, he DOES wear a bow-tie...hehe. He is so nice and I'm so glad that I went to him for my pregnancy.
