I am planning out the menu for DD's party and I feel like I need an appetizer with meat. All of my things right now are non-meat app's.
Our "Main Dish" is going to be a hearty soup with a yummy salad (the salad has chicken in it but thats the only thing on menu that has meat in it).
Any ideas???
Re: Whats a good *meat* appetizer

Cream cheese stuffed jalapenos wrapped in bacon. Its yummy! They are alot of work, but they are super yummy!
You can always brown some hamburger meat and put it in a crockpot with some Velveeta and Rotel Tomatos.. Yummy queso dip!

Meatballs in a crockpot or those little cocktail sausages could work.
This might sound really strange, but I went to a shower where they served in a crockpot a hot dip made of cream cheese, rotel(canned diced tomatoes and peppers), and ground sausage like breakfast sausage in the big tubes. You brown the sausage in a pan and drain it and then just add it in the crockpot with the rotel and cream cheese and let it all heat up and melt. Serve with tortilla chips. It was pretty good.
Chicken wings are good appetizers, but maybe looking for non-chicken since there's chicken in the salad?
Pinwheel wraps with deli meats or spreads like chicken and tuna salad.
Ah. I wonder if turkey bacon would taste the same.
Reuben Dip:
2 c. (3 - 2.5 oz. pkgs.) corned beef, chopped
2 c. sauerkraut, chopped1 c. Swiss cheese, shredded
1 to 1 1/2 c. mayonnaise Mix all ingredients together. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve with party rye bred or crackers.
Buy some frozen Costco meatballs and toss them in the crockpot with some good BBQ sauce.
I'm currently eating the Buffalo Chicken dip and it is YUMMY, but the meat isn't that substantial.
You can do a salami and cheese tray. ?
this
you can use whatever meat you want, and make a wreath instead of a snake. But everyone that I've served this to likes it and its super easy.
