If our LO turns out to be a boy my DH wants to use a family
Charles Prior Rome S....and call him "chip" as a nick name.
Not sure how I feel about this.
A. The name is a SUPER long name.
B. Chip seems like an odd nick name. All I can think about is "Chip the Monkey"!
Input please!!!
Re: Name Question
Yeah, I'm not in the pro-Chip camp. I kinda feel like Chip is a name for the bad guy in a dumb 80s movie, you know, the blonde pretty guy who's rich and wears a cardigan tied around his shoulders that John Cusack hates, lmao.
That said, I like Charles in general and think Charlie is adorable as a nickname.
There are already is a Chuck and a Charlie in the family....
Chip used to be a pretty common nickname for someone named Charles.
I think that Charlie and Chuck are more common now depending on the age. Also I think that nicknames in general can be tricky- when it's not super visible what the real legal name is. Lots of teachers don't like nicknames, etc.
2 middle names can be tough- there will be lots of times when it's not possible to have 2 middle names (it's not really allowed on my state's driver's license- I had to drop my middle name and made my maiden name my middle name, I couldn't have both.)

Ha! So true!
