Can motrin and zyrtec be given at the same time?

DD has had a really bad cold, so pedi. gave her zyrtec to take at bedtime.  Now she's starting to get her top 2 teeth in.  Do you think I can give her motrin at bedtime along with the zyrtec?

It should be fine.  Zyrtec doesn't have ibuprofen in it.  It is simply an allergy med.  I take the 2 together often.

and ftr, i have no idea why your pedi would tell you zyrtec is going to help. its an allergy medicine that has to be built up in their system. it can take 2 weeks before symptoms subside.
