Hi ladies! I'm new to this board and I'm starting to look into childbirth classes...has anyone had any experience with these or recommendations for any?
We took a class called Balance Born Childbirth at Touro. It was eight weeks long, two hours each Wednesday evening. This class centered around natural unmedicated childbirth. I really liked it. We ended up choosing this class because I had wanted to take a Bradley Method class, but the only one I could find in our area didn't work with our schedules. Anyway, it was a good class if your goal is an unmedicated birth - that was my goal, and I feel like with the help of the class I achieved it and had a great labor and delivery.
You don't have to be delivering at Touro to take the class. They have a list of classes here: https://www.touro.com/content/fbc/default.htm I think they have a weekend retreat along the same lines of the eight week class if you can't make such a long commitment.
My boss, who delivered her daughter one week after I did, took Lamaze at EJGH and said she liked it. She also delivered naturally/unmedicated.

I second this class. The 8 week one didn't work for us, but she also offers a weekend course as well that's similar.
Re: Anyone know of any good childbirth classes?
Thanks so much! This info is a huge help...
