My best friend told me that she is p/g this week.   It was traumatic for me and I am still pretty depressed (but also REALLY happy for her).  Anyway she told me that she thought she had gotten her period because she spotted for a few days right around the time AF was due but then got her BFP.  Well even though I had AF this week - I sort of convinced myself that I might be p/g too.  I wasn't spotting, blood wasn't brown, it was a normal cycle...but I think I just latched onto her success story and tried to make it my own. 

Yep.....I live in crazy town.  I officially tried to tell myself that AF was not AF.  I tried to tell myself that since my BF is p/g I am too.  Padded cell - here I come!

I've totally done that before. Doesn't matter that period was red and heavy, "it only lasted for FOUR days. Normally it lasts for FIVE, I hafta be PG"

Lady, you're in good company. I'm sorry that your friend's news was painful for you. I know it sucks, you're torn between being happy for her and devastated for yourself.

Ahhhh sorry.  I know it was painful, but at least you're truly happy and supportive of her.  I bet she wishes you were pregnant right along with her.  Hopefully next cycle.

because people in glass houses should not throw stones, I am not going to judge! we have all thought craxy thoughts,,,,this last cycle DH was away for 10 days over O-time and I still convinced myself that I could be pg!

hugs...not matter how happy we are that our friends get pregnant, it still hurts.

I am right there with you.  Normally I am very realistic about the possibility that DH and I will conceive on our own...but this month we did not chart and I did not POAS at all...and now I am experiencing phantom symptoms.  I know that this is all crazy and yet...I still think what if.  I'll be in the padded cell right next to you!

I remember back when I was on GP that a girl found out she was pregnant after getting what she thought was a normal period.  Her story had the whole board peeing on sticks after their periods for like two months.

Last cycle, when we were TTA, I ovulated earlier than normal and I convinced myself that DH's sperm lasted 6 days in there and I was somehow pg.  I wasted a great Dollar Tree test on that one.  Dumbass.

 I've done this, too! Even though we are TTA until Jan, I still get the urge to pee on things. A lot.

I haven't quite convinced myself but I can see how easy it would be to do. DH and I are going to start ttc next week so I"m sure I will be convinced at some point that I"m pg when I"m not.  You are definitely not alone.
