  • Sore---yep.

I have several lovely shades sporadically on my skin....yellow,green, blue, purple, black.....

but---I'm alive and will soon be well. Ava is just fine, and that's all I could've asked for.

    How are you?

When was it you said you go back to have bw?? I forgot.....Is this week??

  • I am glad you guys are ok.  I love the name Ava.  We have some friends with a little girl named Ava, and I love it.

I am doing really good.... soooo ready to start testing! I had a moment of nausea this morning before eating, and then I have been tired today... so hopefully it isn't just me overthinking.

I go to the RE's office on the 22nd (next tuesday) for the offical beta.  He said I could test at home if I wanted to.  He said to wait until Tuesday (12 dpo), but I think I am going to start testing tomorrow morning. He pretty much said if I make it to the beta without a positive, it probably didn't work.  I am so ready to find out.

  • Oh, yes. If you had any sort of nausea---TEST!!! Grab a pee-stick and def. post the results tomorrow!!! I'm betting you are T-totally ku!

I hope it worked for you!!!

So you had to do IVF bc ur dh was diagnosed w/Male IF?? Was that right? Why was it they determined this route for you??

I hope, hope, hope it all goes well!

Thanks---I'm partial to the name. My MIL DESPISED it---even at the hospital she was trying to talk me into something else........My next pick is Ella for a girl and Eli for a boy---she also HATES those names. ::::shoulder shrug::: Don't really care.

  • Yea... DH has lowish count, but really low motility and morphology.  So he has a low count, and of those... they don't really swim well and are misshaped.

With having all three low, our only option was IVF with ICSI.  ICSI is when they actually put the sperm into the egg.  IVF without ICSI, they just place the sperm and egg in the same dish... So his count is so bad that they have to actually put the sperm into the egg, because his sperm don't swim well.  My RE said that IUIs would be a complete waste of time, and IVF without ICSI would probably waste my eggs. Plus, ICSI has higher fertilization rates, so you get more embryos out of a cycle of IVF.  I don't want to go through any more IVF than I have to, so we decided the more embryos we can get the better.

I love Eli.  DH hates it.  He is horrible for picking out boy names.  He hated Ethan for the longest time, then I finally wore him down.  I kept calling baby B Ethan on the ultrasounds and dopplers.... he finally started liking it, and now says he liked it better than Jacob.  He actually wanted to name one of our boys Bob!! He is good with girl names, but boy names are horrible with him.
