went to BRU today to get some stuff and DH thought we should buy a few preemie outfits just in case. i told him no way but am begining to second guess.... i am definitly having a csection so i'll have a few days before coming home, i could always send DH to go buy some if need be. how many of you were prepared just in case?
Re: should i buy anything preemie?
I bought one preemie outfit for each baby, but was never able to use them My girls were 4lbs 12oz each when they left the NICU and the preemie gown I bought wouldn't even cover their little feet or fit over their heads. LOL.
If you choose to, I would only buy one set at the most.
I would get one thing! I don't know about you, but I wouldn't have wanted DH going to pick out their "going-home" outfits without me. He would have gotten something ugly. Haha.
I wasn't prepared, but since my babies were still in the hospital when I finally left there, I had the chance to go pick up two little preemie outfits for each of them on the day we brought them home. They won't fit for long though, they are each 4.5 lbs and the outfits fit them perfectly. DD is actually a little snug in hers, lengthwise.
And I found out the the "newborn" sized Gerber Onesies are actually more like "Preemie" size. Those won't last long either, as they fit the babies perfectly right now.
