DS heard DH call me Jill and now he's been calling me Jill all day. I keep saying "I answer to mommy" but he thinks it's funny. How do you stop this before it's a real problem?
PS- It's making me laugh hysterically which isn't helping!
3 IUI's and 2 IVF's later- Brady arrived. Born at 36 weeks after PUPPS and pre-e/HELLP.
IUI- BFN IVF #1 -BFP! Allie is our 2nd IVF baby. Born at 36 1/2 weeks after pre-e again
Ever since we got back from visiting family in Oct., DD has been calling me Shannon at least 50% of the time. To be honest, I don't really mind. It kinda irks DH, but I don't care because when she cries or really needs me, she calls for Mommy.

Same here! My dd will start saying Adele whenever DH or someone else calls me. Everyone finds it hystarical, including her, so I don't really see it stopping. We'll correct her nicely, but she is too young IMO to understand the difference. So, we'll keep letting her know that to her I am Mommy, but I won't let it bother me until she does it out of disrespect.
Oh, and she has also done the same to DH... Though not as often. LOL
P will call us by our names too if he hears someone else do it. He doesn't seem to do it any other time though. It is funny but we just tell him you call us mommy or daddy.
DS does the same thing. Or he will call me Honey (Dh's nickname for me). Really funny. I tell DS that he and his little brother are so special that they are the only ones who can call me Mom.

My DD often calls DH "honey" or "dear." Love it!

DS does this to DH...if he doesn't get his attention after a couple of tries. "Daddy? Daddy? Daddy? Dad? ADAM!!!!!! " Funny thing is, he calls me Adam, too sometimes! I wouldn't worry about it becoming a problem- just keep reminding that you are mommy
