? spotting for 4 days after ovulation

Hi all. I'm new to this board and had a concern/question and thought this board seemed a great place to ask.

Quick back story, I got off BCP in March '09. Had no period until September (by means of meds from my OB/gyn) I then had a cycle that was about 45 days long. I decided to start charting because I was worried that I wasn't ovulating at all.

So this cycle, all signs have pointed to CD 28 being the date I ovulated (EWCM, +OPK, Temps) So I am suposedly 4 DPO right now but I have had light spotting since Sunday (CD28) I tried researching online about spotting around ovulation but most sites I found said it can happen but for only a day or 2. I'm going on day 4 now of spotting (very light brown color, mainly mixed in with cm)

Is this odd to be spotting for so many days in a row? (If I'm on a 45 day cycle, I shouldn't be expecting my period for another 2 weeks) It just concerns me a little since my cycles are not on a "normal" pattern yet since getting off BCP. Thanks for any words of wisdom! I really appreciate it!

    Spotting around O can happen and is actually supposedly a good thing...it is the most fertile CM. However, you are right, 4 days is a little long.

    Lots of women spot through their entire LP. I wouldn't worry about it but it is something I would mention to your OBGYN if it continues to happen next cycle.
