I don't want to take DS to school today-- is this wrong?

We had 15 inches of snow yesterday, and the roads are a mess.

It's freaking freezing here (BELOW 0), and I just don't want to drive all the way across town with both kids and haul them in and out of the building (sh*t I wish it was not totally repugnant to me to leave them in the car :)

I am going to drive 3 blocks and workout/leave them at the gym daycare for an hour.  Maybe they'll learn something there.

If he misses 3.5 hours of preschool it's not a big deal, right?

  • There's a reason they call it PREschool.

    :-) Enjoy the gym.

  • No not at all, you have a very good reason. We kept DS home last Friday, just so he could play with the snow, and hang out with us for the day.
  • We had 15 inches of snow here yesterday too and its about 2 degrees, windchill well below zero. I was really counting on DH being done with plowing and home by now so I wouldn't have to take the girls out, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. If I didn't have to do payroll today, I'd just tell my dad I'm not coming to the office.

  • If you are going out anyway into the frigid weather...what makes the difference...except he might learn something at preschool and he probably won't at gym-care.  Also, do they have the same rules as far as sick kids.  You may be getting more than just playtime.  KWIM?
  • ugh.  my baby has a fever, and I already called my big kid in, so it's a moot point.  another day curled up at home.
