Need a shared boy gift

My best friend's little boys are 1.5 and 3yr. I am at a total loss for Xmas presents for them and even she can't really suggest much (esp. for the little one) b/c they have everything.  I am thinking a combo shared gift would be easiest but I can't come up with anything great. I want to spend $30-ish a piece or $75 for a combo gift. Any ideas?

Re: Need a shared boy gift

  • Do they have a toy kitchen? I have a 10 month old and 2.5 year old and my mom got them a kitchen to share. I think she got it off Walmart. They have a few that are around that price that got good reviews!
  • Geotrax I hear are a lot of fun.

  • Loading the player...
  • Maybe a workbench?  there was a Step2 one at TRU a couple weeks ago for about $30, then you could get add'l tools.

My 3 yr old is really into Trains You can get some great Imaginarium (at TRU) sets for less than $75, and they are compatible with Thomas. Also Target's Circo trains are compatible.

I also hear great things about GeoTrax and ImagiNext toys, but we don't have either.

An educational idea is some of the LeapFrog magnetic games....Fridge Phonics, Fridge Farm, Word Hammer.  My two older kids love those (DD just turned 2)

  • Imaginext all the way. We have the Batcave and the boys (4yo and 19mos) play with it ALL the time. It's really the only toy they go back to again and again (they got it for Christmas last year at 3 and 8 mos). The dragon cave one looks cool too. Completely works for both ages - no tiny pieces, lots of imaginary play. They rule.
