I have lots of diapers, wipes, vaseline, penaten (it's a diaper rash cream) cotton swabs, baby wash, baby lotion, nail clippers, a brush and comb, and hand sanitizer. It's kinda personal preference, but once you get your guys home and you start to build a routine you will have a better idea of what you need handy, and what you prefer. By the way, you look great, and good for you for making it to 35 weeks, that's awesome!
diapers, wipes, diaper cream, caldesene powder, lotion, aquaphor, nail clippers, q-tips, cotton swabs and alcohol (only when they're newborns for the umbilical cord), brush, comb, hand sanitizer, nasal aspirator, thermometer....there's probably more, but those were the essentials for us.
Nowadays, the floor has become our changing table....DD and DS move ALL over the place now, so it's just easier and safer to change them on the floor.
For newborns, we had diapers, wipes, extra outfit handy, vaseline/gauze pads (if your DS has a circumcision), alcohol pads or bottle of alcohol and qtips), diaper rash cream. That was about it for diaper changes. We have a little cubby with a basket in it with the rest of the stuff in it. We actually have the lotion on our nightstand in our room because it was easier to lotion them up on our bed. (less bending over and more comfortable for me) I would say make sure to have aquaphor on hand too. It helps to clear up those little scratches that newborns get when they scratch themselves with their fingernails. Other than that, we didn't keep much else at the changing table.
We only have diapers, wipes, and butt cream. We do have shelves on it and on those shelves we keep things like onesies, pjs, blankets, and burp cloths. In the drawer are thermometers, pacis, hair brush, tooth brush, pee pee tents, and other things we rarely use.
Well I didn't even use my changing table for changing it just had baskets with my supplies and baby blankets, sheets. It was easier to have them both on the bed. But for supplies I bought a basket and put essentials it was easy to carry with me to whatever room I was in. I had a foldable changing pad with diapers wipes butt cream thermometer vaseline tylenol you name it I had it and my daughter (9) would replenish whatever I was out of. You could also have multiple baskets around house with all supplies. My house is small so I just carried it with me.
