Well, the fact that I'm a dumbarse isn't great news, but when I was figuring out our finances I somehow completely missed a pay period for both of us. So we're fine. We can probably afford to pay that medical bill off this month.

Phew, I am so relieved! And happy that I figured it out finally.

Yay, that's great, If you will be paying the medical bill off all at once, ask them if they can give you a discount. Most places will give you 10-20% discount for paying all at once. I paid all my medical bills that way after having DD this past January.

This.  We got 20% off of our bill. My friend had a baby about 5 weeks ago and she got 50% off hers.  Same hospital as I delivered at too.  I guess desperate times call for desperate measures.  You should definitely call the billing department before mailing anything in.
