spitting?

so DS has taken up spitting...like a sailor.  i mean full blown, bending over, spitting, watching it hit the floor and laughing his head off.  anyone else?  other than saying "no", is there anything else i can do?

Ugh, DS does this.  Except sometimes when he is pissed he spits at us.  It's freaking gross and I hate it.  I have a really hard time ignoring it (which usually works for unwanted behaviors) so I just say no very sternly and distract him.  I seriously hope this stage passes quickly.
