started meds today

I saw my GP today and was started on a very low dose of effexor... With the advice to "get out more" and also to seek counseling.  Not sure how I feel about all of this.  I hope that the meds help and I will definitely call the counselor that was recommended, but I wish I could find a counselor that specializes in PPD situations. <sigh> I wish it was bedtime.

Congrats. I never realized just how depressed I had been for so long until I started on Effexor.

Maybe the reccomended counselor could point you in the direction of someone who specializes in PPD.  Congratulations on seeking help and best of luck to you!

i started meds last night and will see a therapist tomorrow.
