Hello Ladies,?
I have been on here and there posting to other posts but haven't told you all the latest with my Twin pregnancy.. I know a few weeks ago I THINK I told you all how I went into the hospital last month due to major contractions and cramps and how ever since I am now on Procardia and not on bedrest...?
Well during this whole pregnancy Baby B has been growing and putting on more weight than Baby A and Baby B is taking in more of the nutrients and how this week they said that if the lungs are good at NEXT Week's appt. and if the weight is still low for Baby A, they will induce me that day..?
Last week The weight estimations were; Baby A around 3lbs and Baby was around 4lbs and that was week 33..They are both head down but A is lower and pretty much in my lap...
Im 34wks this week.. The doctors said to me yesterday that they would rather watch over Baby A's growth on the outside than in the inside since they are sharing a placenta right now but next week's possible delivery will all be determined if their lungs are developed enough... But for us to be prepared overall that they will most likely have to be in the NICU for a few days..?
So last night when back at home I started to really Nest and get things done.. I have started a good bit with the home getting it ready for their arrival with have known they were going to be December babies instead of January ones.. But last night I got my bag just about done but we here are excited and shocked at the same time..?
If anyone here has been induced.. Please share your experience with me.. With my first pregnancy I went into labor on my own...?
Thanks Ladies and sorry if this was too long...
Re: Haven't been on in awhile... UPDATE!
I was induced at 36 weeks, 6 days because one of the girl's heart rates slowed during an NST (which ended up being nothing). They put a pill behind my cervix, which was pretty painful, to get things started. A few hours later, they started the IV of pitocin. I felt some mild contractions, but nothing major - very manageable. I then got the epidural a few hours after that. Unfortunately, the epidural was positioned incorrectly and stopped working in the middle of the night. Ouch! I felt some REAL contractions at that point and had to breath through them until they could redo the epidural. Once that was done, I was pain free. I pushed for 3 and 1/2 hours, but the girls wouldn't budge. The docs think that Baby A was positioned in a way that her head was stuck behind something (a bone, I think...it was pretty blurry by then). I ended up having a c section 24 hours after they began the induction process.
I hope your induction goes well! Even though it was a bit traumatic at the time, I don't even think about it now! GL!
