I am about ready to send ours out and I answered to the previous post that I ordered 70. I seriously believe that once I mail ours, we will then get cards back. I almost wonder what the sense is then? I mean we have a large family and friends but I seriously feel like we get cards back only because we sent them. I guess what I am saying is I almost wonder if I didn't send them one would they be actually sending me one? does anyone else think this?
It's not that I mind showing off my kids but the cost adds up fast!

If you stopped sending them for a couple of years you probably wouldn't get many back. I know when my DD first moved out she sent out a few cards and she didn't get many back. We always get quite a lot (almost as many as we send out). I told her to send them one more time. Sure enough she started getting them...so after 3 years of her sending them...she now gets them (at least as many as she sends). Maybe it works both ways. I know after 3 years of not getting one from someone I don't send anymore to them (except a few really old people in their 80's). I know there have been years I didn't get a card from someone (who was a regular) and I thought...hmmmm...wonder what's going on. Well, the following year they sent one. I would have felt bad if I hadn't of sent one that year.
I have gotten cards really close to Christmas from someone I had not sent to (surprise!) and I would send them one that I knew for a fact would be late and I would acknowledge that in the card. It happens.
