again, sorry for all these lame questions, girls but I am a very nervous 1st time mom and you have been such a great support system for me these first few weeks. Thank you all so much!
I left a message at my doctor's office and am just wondering what is a good guage of a callback time for non-emergency issues?
Also, he is a sole practitioner and a bit on the conservative side (I'm still debating as to whether or not to use him but I'm trying him out) and when I called earlier, I got a busy signal. I didn't even know busy signals were still used. Finally got the voicemail and left a message but I just don't know what is a good "average" callback time.
Re: how long does it take for your PEDIATRICIAN to return a call?
If I have a non-emergent question it can take a few hours for mine to call back but that doesn't bug me. A more serious question means a call back within a few minutes to an hour.
Sometimes I get a busy signal too and I use a big practice. I just keep calling until I can get through. I chalk it up to a bunch of people calling all at once.
Oh... I've never spoken to the pediatrician herself either. I always get the triage nurse on the line and she tells me if I need to make an appt or to come in ASAP or whatever.
