I can't believe I did this - typo on profile book

I spent soooo much time on this yesterday.  I already placed the order for 10 books (I almost did 20, so I'm glad I didn't!), and this morning I noticed a typo.  The blurb by a picture of our dogs says, "We are dog lovers believe that every child should have a dog!  Our dogs, Cricket and Spud, are very sweet natured and good with children."  This is what I get for working on our profile at 2:00 a.m.

I used artscow and called as soon as I saw the typo this morning, but they are located in Hong Kong and are not currently open.  I sent an email asking if I can revise the page before printing.

If I can't get it revised, would you still send the book out with this typo?  I hate wasting $120, but I also don't want a typo to hurt our chances.

I could take a black pen and handwrite an "&" symbol in the appropriate place.

I don't think its a big deal. When some people read their eyes skim or just catch certain words, so the typo may go unnoticed. But like you said, you can always handwrite the &, if it bothers you. I would use the 10 books either way.

I agree, I'd just try to fix it with a pen. Hopefully it won't be too noticable. It's not a huge typo, so I don't think I would waste the $120! I was so afraid I was going to do that myself! We just got ours in the mail last night and THANK goodness everything is correct! We only ordered 1 copy and are having copies made at Staples since they were so expensive. The copies will be expensive too I'm sure but not as much as the whole book was!

LOL.  That makes me feel better.  I'm clueless with creating photo books, and artscow was the easiest for me to figure out.  Thanks for giving me the info as I had never heard of that site.  I about had a heart attack when I saw that shipping would cost $79.00 for just 10 books, but I found a coupon code for 30% off the order.  I was happy to spend $12 per book including shipping.  The books are 8 x 8, which I hope isn't too small.

I didn't notice it, and had to read what others said to figure out what the typo was, if it makes you feel better!

I made 8x8 as well --- and I also know someone else wrote they used that size. I think they will be fine!!

I would use the pen for the typo as well!

Ours arrived yesterday, and I found a typo as well.  Two actually.  I read that book probably 20 times before I ordered it.  Several friends and family members read it as well, and missed it.  I am re-ordering, but my books were only $60 the first time.
