That's me. I was just wondering if or what others were in this boat. I know everyone is different, but I started out overweight and thought I'd be absolutely huge by this point since I've always had issues with my weight, but no, I've got the tiniest little bump. I was only about 10 lbs or so overweight, but I can put on weight very quickly and easily usually, so that's what I thought I'd be doing. Hmmmph... I'm kinda glad about it, though I do want people to actually know I'm pregnant.
Re: Anyone 5 and 1/2 months or so and still not noticeably preg?
I'm showing now, but with my first pregnancy, I was barely showing at five months -- and I'm not at all overweight.
Um, you're barely four months, not almost five.
I this this is annoying, I had posted a while ago and some people would say that I'm 5 months, other would say 6 (going by what I'm at now). Going w/ the rational that while your in your 5th month you say your 4 months that would mean your first 8 weeks you'd only be 1 month pg and you'd never be 9 months pg. I go with every 4 weeks = 1 month, plus the little heart in my ticker is just past 6, that means 6 months to me
18 weeks
See, I count back from my due date, so that I'm five months pregnant as of 11/27, or when I was almost 23 weeks. So now I would say I'm just over five months, and I think it's misleading when other women call themselves six months at 24 weeks even though we still have almost four months left to go.
If this were a good indication of how many months along I'd be telling everyone I'm 8 months pregnant. Since I have 8 weeks left, that's obviously not the case. Unless we're on a 10 month calendar, which is another way to date pregnancy.
My pregnancy book lists the "fourth month" as being from 14-17 weeks. The "fifth month" as being from 18-22. I count from the beginning, not the end.
That's true, but it still means you're not five months until 22 weeks. Being in your fifth month means you're approaching five months, not that you're already there.
It's the same as saying I'm in my sixth year of marriage since we had our fifth anniversary in October.
This is why it's just better to go by weeks. lol.
I get the same comment! Today a coworker asked how I was feeling, I said "great" and they replied that they didn't think I was even having a baby. It would nice to have a bump just to get them to shut up!
