I thought that Tums were safe - then I read this:

I had to look up teratogenicity:

n.
The capability of producing fetal malformation. |

Re: Tums
Steal my kids picture or pretend they are yours, I will find where you live and ship all of their dirty diapers to your doorstep. Promise.
Really? Its on my OB's recommended list. Also my mother ate them like candy with myself and three brothers. Even with the youngest when she was 47 years old (enough worry there as is!).
I'm glad to report that we all have our appropriate parts.
Now I am curious though.
My OB said they are fine and I need them like I need air with this intense heartburn I get after every meal!
However, my primary care physician said nothing is really safe with pregnancy and to avoid all chemicals. He is slightly more conservative.
I can't function without TUMS because I feel like my stomach, heart, and esophagus is on fire!
thats scary
i used maalox cause i had severe heart burn with my 1st.
TUMS in pregnancy are perfectly safe, and beneficial.
