If your buying one which are you getting Cool Mist of Warm Mist?? Also whats the difference and which is better..

Our Infant Care class instructor suggested the cool mist humidifier. I can't remember why, but that's what we ended up buying.

cool mist. Warm mist can be a burn risk, especially once you have a toddler who likes to wake up and roam around her room early in the morning.

we used both with DD. I liked the warm air when she was not mobile because it seemed to break up her congestion well. But now we soley use the cool mist for her because of the danger of scalding and the fact that she is walking around.

cool mist. we have a warm mist for our bedroom and it can get pretty hot (the unit, not the room). Cool mist is recommended for babies/kids.

Cool Mist is recommended for infants. The warm mist ones are for when you're sick with a sinus infection and you need the warm humid air to hydrate your mucus membranes. We got the Elephant cool mist humidifier for LO at one of our showers.
