One of my boys is just about at the limit for his snugride car seat. So we were thinking of asking for new car seats for the boys for christmas, but we have no idea which ones to get. any information you guys can share is great.
I don't know how helpful I will be, but our girls are still squeaking under the limits of their Snugrides. I have gotten their convertible seats though for when we decide to switch. For our main vehicle, I got Britax Boulevards from Albeebaby.com. If you're thinking about getting Britax seats, definitely check them out: https://www.albeebaby.com/britax-sale-items.html. For our other car that isn't used that much, I went with Cosco Scenera seats that were $45/each at Walmart. They were well rated by Baby Bargains and Consumer Reports so I feel better about being cheap. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. I'm dreading the day I have to retire the infant seats!

We've used Alpha Omega Elites with DD, and I hate them. They were great at first, but as time goes on the straps get caught in the mechanism in the back. It makes it hard to tighten.
We just got an Evenflo Triumph because I no longer can pull the strap as tightly as I need to. I LOVE it. It's a breeze to tighten and loosen. I also feel like it doesn't wiggle on the seat nearly as much as the Alpha Omegas do.
