I'm wondering if IUI/IVF babies tend to be early, late or on time with thier estimated due dates? I'm due in 8 days, which is exactly 40 weeks from date of my IUI, and there's no sign of labor. Not even a BH yet.
Just occured to me that maybe our EDD is more accurate than just going by last menstral period.
For a singleton birth..
Thanks.
siggy should be here!
Re: sort of a poll: IUI/IVF babies... Were they born early or late?
it's true that IUI/IVF babies have more accurate due dates - but other than that, it wouldn't effect if they are born early/late -ie) they will still gestate as long as a baby concieved spontaneously.
my 1st was born at 36w - but he was induced b/c of health problems i was having... not sure how long i would have gone with him.
i made it to 38w with the twins- no signs of labor- had my scheduled c/s... could have gone longer most likely b/c they showed no signs of coming out!
Clomid M/C 8 weeks 2/08 *IVF #1-DD born 3/09
*Surprise BFP-T18 baby lost at 13w 1/10 *FET #1-DS born 2/11
The girls were 6 weeks early, but I had all kinds of issues.

E was 39w1d
but having said that, remember 40 weeks is average, and really gestation can be 37 to 42 weeks!
(just what you needed to hear, right?)
I had my IVF baby at 38wk 1d, so a little early. But, I had my son at 37wk 5d and had no medical help to get pregnant with him at all. I think I just have my babies a little early.
Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12
Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck. Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.

Our IUI baby was five days late WITH induction (due to pre-e). Without it, I'm pretty sure I know where she would still be (five years later). That kid was comfy in there!
