3rd Trimester

Plans for tomorrow...

I can't stay at home again tomorrow... I'll just keep eating my leftover shower cake! Seriously, I think I had 5 pieces of it today...

I think I'm going to go and get some nursery stuff... and I'm almost out of pregnancy tea.  I'll pick some of that up, too...

Maybe I should suck it up and buy the dreaded maxi pads, too.  Gross.

I have to ask... What is pregnancy tea? :)

How many maxis are you going to buy?  Our childbirthing coach recommending pouring some "Witch Hazel" on them and then freezing them for 'relief' when we get home after delivery.... gonna' do anything special to doctor yours up?

  • What's pregnancy tea?

My sister's friend gave me some of her left-over pads from the hospital. Holy mother....they are HUGE and THICK and apparently have a built in ice pad. Indifferent

  • This is pregnancy tea!  I hated it at the beginning of my pregnancy, but I really like it now. It looks like lawn clippings, and DH says that it tastes like warm toothpaste spit.

Traditional Medicinals Herbal Teas, 16-Count Wrapped Tea Bags (Pack of 6)

Huh.  I think they are the same people that make my "Throat Coat" tea I use if DH and I get sick.

What's this stuff supposed to do?  It's sold at Whole Foods, right?

Mm. Not the best advertisement. Ick!

  • Yeah, it's not exactly Celestial Seasonings, but I really think that it does what it's supposed to (tone uterus), because whenever I drink it, the boy starts moving around like crazy.

To be honest, it does have a bit of a grassy flavor, but it's mostly minty.  A dollop of honey makes it almost delightful.  Since it's warm, it's soothing, as well.

  • Oooh, and I gotta go buy a Christmas tree.  Gonna do a fake one this year, I think.  I don't want to deal with a real one with a newborn around...

  • Hmmm, I'm looking forward to a day at home. Worked all weekend, 36 hours in 3 days. But... we're going to see the holiday train roll in, so no rest for the weary...
  • I know how you feel. I actually did get out of the house this weekend with DH but now it's Monday morning again and just me! Thankfully my Bestie is a SAHM so she comes over a lot or I go over there. It's nice but she did it for almost a year before she get me as a SAH buddy!

I was supposed to get my pads this weekend but I was with DH and I just couldn't. I told myself I will get them this week.
