Okay, for a few weeks now I have occasionally been getting this weird pain that I had never felt before. It is NOT like any contraction I have ever had and it's kinda weird. It comes on like a wave and is totally focused on one side right at where the top of your leg meets your body. It literally feels like I pulled a muscle. It gets all cramped up (but does NOT feel like a period cramp at ALL). It really hurts and I moan and sometimes scream while it is going on and feel like I can't move. Then it will subside. Art first I thought it was the way I moved that caused it, but I have had them now lying in bed when I didn't move at all. I get them on each side and during the episode it will only be focused on one side. Some days I have none of these and the most I have had is one on each side in one day. This is the same place on my body where I would get my RLP. I am wondering if this is RLP later in pregnancy or something else. Anyone else have this or have nay idea what it is?? TIA
Re: what is this pain??
I wish I had an answer for you. I get something similar, but only on my right side at this point. I've been writing it off as RLP. I would aks the OB teh next time you go.

Does it feel like a charley horse at all? I got those in my calves when I was pregnant with DD but this pregnancy I actually have had a few in my belly along the side - VERY painful. It happened in my late 20 weeks and has not happened since. My doc said it was due to stretching - but man was it painful.
Hopefully your doc can give you some idea of what is going on.
Feel better!
Ditto. Mostly when I'm laying in bed and try to move it will take me by surprise. It usually goes away after about a minute or so. It is really painful though... I remember one particular time I had to breathe through it.
