I have both but I actually like the sleep and play more. Originally, I planned on just getting sleep sacks but the sleep and plays have more stylish options.
Both. The sleep n play is probably what he'll wear most when he's little- that way he looks like he's wearing clothes (visitors, taking him out, etc.) yet he's comfy for all the sleeping he will likely be doing.
I agree. I'll use them for different purposes at first. Sleepers/Sleep N Plays for daytime, napping, regular day activities. Sleep sacks for nightime sleeping. I want there to be a difference in a "nap" and "bedtime". Not that I think LO will notice that for some time! But if I set the routine for me, maybe that will help later!

Hi I hope you don't mind me butting in, DD is awake and I am not in the mood to be up yet Right now (9 months), DD is in a sleeper with feet - a warm fleecy one and on top of that is a sleeveless sleep sack. She wears the sacks every night to bed over her footed sleeper. Doe that make sense? As a newborn in February, she wore footed sleeper things almost every day and we really only swaddled her a few weeks. I think at that age I put a onesie under them but I don't anymore. If you can, get the newborn or 0-3 size sleepers with zippers!! I can't wait to move to 12 month sleepers so we can get back to zippers For the sleep sacks, I move up a size well before the tag says to so she has extra room to move around. These things are fabulous for winter nights - definitely worth the investment! Hope this helps and hope you don't mind me butting in Good luck!
And with the delivery trifecra of one twin vaginal, one c-section with general anesthesia for twin B, Spencer and Sidney joined us at 35 weeks exactly on June 18.
If by sleep n play you mean the pajama sleepers, I will put baby in a sleeper and then in a sleep sack. Its what DD sleeps in too so I can't imagine a baby in any less.
Re: sleep sack vs sleep n' play
Nevermind... just googled and it looks like what I always call just a "Sleeper."
We have lots of sleepers and a few sleep sacks, so we'll just see what works best for LO.

They have two different functions, IMO.
