daycare?

I just went to an open house for a daycare center and got sticker shock!!!!  We are having twins and there is no way i can afford that daycare.  Does anyone have any recs on daycare centers or nannies that come to the house or nanny agencies?  Thanks!

    welcome to my world :)

post on the NJ Nest board during the week - people can make suggestions.

I have 3 in daycare part time now... we pay almost $2K for Griffin to be in 3 days/week and the twins to be in 2 days/week.  All of my salary goes to daycare- my bonus and benefits are all I bring in now- but I like working, and can't afford to quit- so we make it happen.. somehow!

Base price a month for daycare is $1000.. depending on the place and I assume location.  My preference is the Learning Experience.

From what I've read, nannies cost about 3X more than daycare centers!!
