If you've flown with a toddler

Has anyone used this product called CARES when flying with a toddler?  I'm thinking about buying it for an upcoming flight and would be interested to hear how others liked it.

I'm considering it too. I'm curious to see the responses. I wish it wasn't so expensive but knowing DD, she'll just keep unsnapping her seatbelt, so it's probably well worth it! So far we've always flown w/ her car seat but w/ 2 and DD1 being older, I think it would be easier to use the CARES thing from now on.

We fly frequently and DS just uses the seatbelt - he has since about 20 months (when we stopped lugging the carseat on board). He does very well with just the seatbelt. Last week when we flew was the first time he took it off when he wasn't supposed to, but he just did it once and I think accidentally. As soon as I spoke to him about it he left it alone.

We've flown with DD several times since and just use the seatbelt. We've never had issues.

i acutally rented one off ebay and will be using it tomorrow for our flight to disney. i will be sure to post when we get back

Flown with DD several times since she was 6 months old.  We have never used her car seat or anything else, just holding her or the regular seat belt.  She has always done great.

MsKellDel - How much did it cost to rent?  I'll be interested to hear how you like it.  Ours is for a flight to Disney too.  Have a great time and can't wait to hear about your trip.

I have one of these for both of my kids.  We used to live overseas in the UK and Australia.  He does great with this and we've never had any problem with using it on any seat (including the full laydown seats in business class).  I think my DS would be the type to mess with the seatbelt and these latches would be much harder for him to undo.  I think that since its very similar to car seat straps its was easier for him to understand that he needed to stay in his seat.
