Babies: 0 - 3 Months

how long can you use a moby wrap for?

I think I want to get one but I don't want to spend alot of money on it if he can only use it for another month or so...

  • You will be able to use it for a while.  I've heard the woven wraps (pretty expensive) are better for older babies.

  • hes 10 pounds now...do you think its worth it? I really freaking want one. sigh. I'm not sure what to do.
  • I think you can use them up to 30-35 lbs. You'll definitely get some use out of it.

You can also make one yourself for much cheaper than the actual name brand. Just got 5-6 yards of jersey type material (something like 60% poly 40% cotton) and cut it so that it is 18"-20" wide and 5-6 yards long. You'll have a basic moby without the moby price.

Yup just make one.   I have a Moby wrap and it's insanely long.  If I had just bought the fabric I would cut it to the size I want.

  • get one. it is soooooo worth it. DD doesn't *ever* want to be put down, so I wear her during the day so I can get stuff done around the house, and it makes grocery shopping a lot easier. We went out with my mom to the outlet mall before Thanksgiving, and DD slept for three hours while we shopped. It was great. It's good for up to 35 lbs.

  • Its really easy...you don't need to sew, just use a pair of scissors to cut it around 20" wide. I promise you can do it!

  • Super easy instructions (she has sewing instructions, but if you use no-fray fabrics you don't even have to hem the edges!)

  • Ditto everyone else. There are quite a few ways you can wrap it to accommodate older/ heavier babies
