I want blue cheese dressing terribly for my salad that i brought today...I think I am going to run to the store and get some But then I wondered if it is a "soft cheese" and therefore one that we aren't supposed to eat right now?
you can eat anything that is pastuerized...soft or hard. dressings in a bottle are usually pastuerized, as is most US's cheeses. just check the bottle.

oh thank you thank you thank you!! I almost teared up reading the the verification of it being soft!! hmm..maybe this is my first craving!?
sure is! I ordered buffalo wings and then was liek OMG I forgot NO BC!! Was so sad...
I always ask the waiter to ask the chef if the dressing is homemade, or made with pastuerized cheese. I have only found one blue cheese that is not safe and we eat a lot of BC. I went to culinary school and for the most part most cheeses in the US have to be pastuerized, but always ask.

You have to try pretty hard to find a cheese that isn't safe in the US. Even on the off chance you do, think about European women. Most cheese over there is made with raw milk, and I'm pretty sure they don't have a drastically higher instance of PG complications due to it.

It is , but i ate it anyway with my first. Along with sushi and all kinds of things. The biggest concern is food poisining. I would just be sure not to eat it too often
All cheese in the US, unless specifically marked, is pasturized.
Salad dressing most of all. Read the ingredients for heaven's sake
Definitely. Salad dressing is fine... they are not putting raw cheese on an unrefridgerated shelf for months on end. You only have to worry if you are ordering cheese at a fancy cheese counter.

You can totally eat the bleu cheese that comes with buffalo wings! I ate it almost 3 times a week with my first pregnancy!
LOL! Glad I am not alone!
