Nurseries and Baby Gear

Shelving question

The room we're using for our nursery is kind of small with limited wall space.  We'll have a crib on one wall, dresser w/ changing pad on another, and the chair with a side table on the other wall.  One entire wall is closet so that one is not usable.  I want a place to display books and toys but I'm worried a book shelf may cramp the room.  I'm looking for storage/display options.  Any ideas?

Re: Shelving question

  • We're putting shelving into the closet because we have limited space as well.

  • As long as you don't get the real thick or deep shelves it should be fine.  We got the changing table that's a dresser too, so no storage for diapers and things.  So we put up the shelves above the changing table to put the necessities on. Just make sure if you put shelves up w/i reach of LO you make sure their in the wall studs or you have drywall hooks that can hold up tons of weight.
