Re: christmas budget

  • Probably the last year we can get away with low

    Kids: $250 each

    DH: $400

IL's: $150.00 for his parents and my parents.

    everyone else we bake for.

  • parents/inlaws - making stuff, keeping it under $15 each.

DH & I aren't doing gifts, we got ourselves a roof repair for christmas.

Each kid, I hope we can do $50 each but it'll probably be more like $25 each.

Making stuff for other people/siblings, bought a few little gifties with $ I earned on etsy.

  • I spent about $100 on dd.  Dh and I have a budget of $200 for each od us but I got dh a grill which was over.  For my parents I dont know yet what we are spending on my mom but my sister and I put our money together and got him a gift card to the place he eats everymorning.  We spent $25 each on him.

  • I have 1300 for all of our Christmas, I take 25 a week from every paycheck.

I budget 100 for parents and inlaws. We did family pictures for my parents and I have no idea what we are going to do for his.

    50 for brothers and sisters

    100 for each kid.

I am way under this year. We are not going to do alot. I'm sure I will hit the 100 for DD, don't have anything for DS yet. I might just put his in his savings.

ETA: DH and I are not doing gifts this year. There is nothing we need or really want. We are just going to save what is left.

  • Kids: about $250-300 each. I think we are pretty much done with DD and I don't even know how much we have spent on her.

Eachother: Probably $0. We don't really get eachother anything.

Parents/Inlaws: probably about $50 for each of my parents. On DH's side, we draw names and if neither of us gets one of them, we don't get them anything. We may frame a family pic and a couple pics of the kids for them.

  • Kids were about $300 each.

DH and I are $125 each.

    DH's parents, my parent's, my sis/bil are $50 each.

    Niece/nephew $25 each.

ETA: I bake for my 5 closest friends.

  • I ended up at $400 with DS. I can't believe how expensive things are!

Nothing exchanged between DH and I.

$50 for each set of parents and SIL & BIL.

We're doing an ornament exchange with friends and in our work. With boss and teacher gifts and miscellaneous gifts that pop up, I estimate $100.

  • DH and I probably won't exchange gifts. Money's tight.

DS: Not sure. I'd say around $50?

Parents/ILs: We got them each a photo book and they were on sale. I think they were under $20 each.

We're visiting the ILs (along with BIL, SIL and their kids) just after the holidays, so I got something small for each of them as well. A book for each kid, regifting nice maple syrup and pancake mix that my company sent me to BIL, and a $25 GC for SIL to have her kids make a book for her.
