The scale at my Dr's office says I'm 6lbs heavier than my scale at home. Granted, I'm fully clothed when I weigh in at the Dr. but I don't wear 6lbs of clothing.
Anyone else notice that their Dr's scale runs heavy?
(I know I'm going to be gaining weight during pregnancy, that's not the issue, it's just me wanting a consistent record of my weight gain!)
Re: Why do Dr. scales run heavy?
THIS
agree.
This. I would go with doctors scale, not my home one.
Mine always a little heavier too, unfortunately, I agree with pp. I think the dr's is right.
I weigh myself in the morning without clothes on and I'm using my home scale to track what I'm gaining through out the pregnancy so I know about what to expect at the dr's office visit.
As long as you're comparing weight from home against another weight from home and not compared to the dr's scale, you should still be able to see how much you're up.

This was the helpful answer of the bunch.
Like I said, the number doesn't matter, just the consistency of measurement. I'm going to use my home scale for weekly weigh ins so I can track my weight week by week. My doctors can track my weight on my visits with their scale. and we'll both be happy
