Seriously? That's really weird. I found that it was extremely important to find a doctor who was sympathetic and had experience with HG patients--I'm not sure if you have HG (check here to see if you fit in the category of HG and not morning sickness https://helpher.org/mothers/ )
I had to switch to an OB who had the experience and didn't just write it off.
You certainly don't want to take anything that's going to make you drowsy/knock you the f out! Since you have a toddler to take care of and all. I mean, if that's all you can get then I guess you have to do what you have to do...but Zofran is my DOC because of the lack of ill effects.
Yeah, phenergan isn't a great choice for someone with kids. We stayed at my mom's house when I was at my worst, so I could just take the medicine and pass out. It's impossible to take it and function, though. I did it with Ethan, as I couldn't afford Zofran, but I didn't have kids to take care of. I had a very understanding boss who allowed me to stay home as much as possible. It wouldn't hurt to have phenergan to take at night, though.
OMG, brushing teeth was THE WORST! I seriously think about that every time I brush my teeth now! The good news was that mine went away around 13-15 wks! I realize that I was lucky in that regard though. Some suffer with it the entire pregnancy! I'm so sorry!!
I've had horrible morning sickness this go around and what was recommended to me by my ob is Unisom and night (the drug in it is actually and anti-nausea drug) and a B6 vitamin with it - it definitely helps but talk to your OB about this option.

I should add that I also have a toddler and by taking this at night - it does not effect me during the day but keeps the morning sickness at bay for the whole day.

I took the unisom at night before bed and it at least took the edge off in the am, I was still nauseated and gagging the rest of the day and finally got on Zofran which made me feel human again. Good luck and hang in there! I am still taking my Zofran at 18 weeks. It's ridiculous! I tried going off of it a couple weeks ago and was puking again.
Re: called the OB's office!
Huh?? Why not??
In the meantime, try all the other stuff - ginger, sour stuff....Edy's lime frozen fruit bars help me.

Oh no! Sorry to hear about the morning sickness. No fun!!! One of my friends swore by sucking on sour candies? I have no idea though...
Hope it goes away soon!
