my sister has to today and i just had some questions. how far along were you when you had it done? did they have to do it again? how far along were you when you delivered? did you go on bedrest?

I know SBDC had one with Ethan and don't quote me, but I think Butterbeans had to have one this time around, so definitely check with them.

My SIL had one because her first was a 24 week preemie due to an "incompetent cervix." I can't remember exactly when it was done.  She only had it done once, if that's what you are asking.  She was on modified bed rest for a good part of the pregnancy (as in, I know you have a 4 year old but try to stay off your feet as much as possible).  Second baby was delivered at 35.5 weeks when her water broke.  Good luck!

Hi. I had one with my first and again with this pregnancy. They were both put in around 10 weeks (they don't want the baby too low since they are working close to the amniotic sac). With my first, I went back to work the day after and never felt anything from it until it was time to take it out at 37 weeks. They do check me by ultrasound every 2 weeks at the doctor's office (but that may just be my doctor being very cautious). I like it though, since I get to see the baby too. :-)
