Rapid breathing with the twins

my twins were born at 37 weeks and are now 10 weeks old they both had breathing issues at a few days old. I watch their breathing everyday and it seems to be getting better. Has anyone had this problem with your newborn if so did their breathing get normal again and at what age?

My girls were born at 35 & 4. They had some erratic breathing for the first few days, too. They seem to have calmed down now. That was one of the conditions for exiting the NICU. However, the NICU doctors/nurses did reassure me that it is completely normal for newborns (even at 40 weeks) to have erratic breathing patterns. That's all I know.....
