Birthing class advice-Amma Maternity or Blooma Classes

Hi Minneapolis/ St Paul Mom's-

I am going to sign up for a childbirth class soon and I have a few options. The class I really wanted to take at Blooma seems too early.  I will only be 28 weeks in Jan when the class begins, none in Feb and the class in March is too late. I am due April 2nd, with my first.

Any suggestions classes or teachers you really liked?

Park Nicollet has partnered with Amma Maternity, has anyone taken a class with them?

I go to Blooma for yoga in Edina and love the owner Sarah so I will definitely take he one day course but I am hoping for a little advice.

Should I take the early Lamaze class at Blooma?

Thanks for the help!

  • I don't think that will be too early. I wish I would of taken my classes at Blooma.
  • I just feel Like I should be 30 weeks plus. Bloom has great  BYOB classes, too, have you checked those out?

That is my thought also. When we did our class there were a lot late 20 weekers in the weekend class. We were lucky to get in as I waited WAY to long

I plan to check them out soon

  • I loved Amma Maternity. The owner is amazing and so sweet. The new mama class that she runs is amazing.

Ditto!  No matter who you go with for birthing classes, seriously consider the new mamma class at Amma.  It's fantastic, and Sara (the owner) is super nice!
