Speaking of fakers...

A couple of weeks ago, someone commented on my blog telling me that someone had stolen pictures of my boys and was claiming them as her own. (Except in her case, two of them were girls. Hmm.) Her story was all full of holes. I contacted her, imploring her to get help, and within a few hours, the site was gone.

People are stupid.

I knew when I started blogging that I was putting myself "out there", so I wasn't worried or even very mad (except that she made my boys into girls), but I am very sad that someone feels the need to do this.

    I am glad she took it down, but damn.  When will people stop treating MoMs like circus freaks? 


    After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

    Wow, that's insane!  I often worry about this because I'm a photographer, so I HAVE to put pics on my blog. I go back and forth about if I want to put my own son on it.  It's people like this that ruin it for the rest of us!

     

    I never put client's names for this reason.

    Okay, this is just creepy!  It makes me think about this woman who keeps showing up at my sister's hospital trying to get into L&D because she's having her "baby."  In reality, she's not pregnant, she's just trying to take off with someone else's baby!  Hospitals all over the region have her picture up instructing people not to let her pass the waiting area.

    Holy craziness!  I would be upset but also really sad for that woman (if it is a woman?!) that person is clearly sick.  It was sweet of you to suggest she get help, I might have just told her to shove it.

    I am so sorry this happened.  I have learned so much about multiples from all of the bump postings and the blogs that I follow.  Then I relay the info to my daughter.  What would I have done without the love and encouragement from this board?  I am home more, so I have time to read and lurk again.

    Again, I am so sorry that there are crazies out there that ruin it for the rest of the world.  Linda, Texas Grandma

    that is so scary...i feel like thats the same stuff people who kidnap babies and raise them as their own do. I feel like more and more people are doing this lately..maybes its the holidays making baby-less women go nuts? Actually Im sure they were nuts before...on an adorable note, I love the pic of your boys in the crib!

    I'm sorry to bump up a post this late in the game, but I was directed here from a discussion about people adding siggy info to photos now.

    If you google "raising seven vegans" you can see that this girl has been linked to and mentioned on a lot of blogs (plus her sidebar of links that you can reach if you click on the cached version of her blog). You might want to consider contacting some of them and let them know about her charade.

    I'm sorry that this happened to you. That is so, so wrong.
