Crib question

I'm starting to do some crib research, and I'm a little confused about something... it looks like some of the cribs have a high side and a low side, and the low side seems pretty low!  Have you noticed your LO grabbing and pulling themselves up?  Would you recommend a crib with all sides the same height?  Thanks for the advice!!!

Re: Crib question

  • The "low" side must be a drop-side that pulls up to make all sides equal. One side will not be lower than the other unless the drop-side is dropped. This is for ease of use, though I have never put my drop side down.

  • We have a crib with a lower front side.  It's lower because that side is not a drop side and can be converted into a daybed/double bed after LO is done with it.  We have had no problems so far with pulling up.  In fact, last week we just lowered the crib to the second lowest setting.

It'll be a while before we'll need to lower it to the lowest.  Even then I don't see a problem happening. Kids pull up on any kind of crib.

Ours isn't a dropside. I think the back (high side) may be higher than a regular crib.

My crib has one side that is 'higher' like a headboard (the Graco Lauren) but the 'low' side is high enough that DS cannot get over when standing with the mattress all the way down....if that makes sense.

But he cannot reach the 'high' side to pull up there.

I stand corrected, I have not seen cribs like this before!
