We have white outside and colored on our tree( you can see it from the road). I think our white outside is pretty boring even tho we have a ton and it is tastefully done. I LOVE the houses with colored lights outside. What do you have?
I'm a big fan of white lights, I think that they are classic and beautiful. I have white outside and on the tree, but do have colored lights on the mantle. The mantle is decorated with all my Santa's and the kids stockings, and is really more for them, so I do the colored ones there only.

I mix. Both of my trees have colored and white lights. just a few colored ones on the inside of the tree and then the white closer to the outside (and more of them). Outside we have colored lights, but only because I have extras so we figured we would just use them.
white inside and out. I like the classic feel of it. We do look awfully boring next to our neighbors, though! Everyone on our street thinks they are Clark Griswald! LOL
Our tree is pre-lit anyways-but our hodge podge of family ornaments makes it colorful
We told Nathan he could have a tree in his room-so we'll get multi colors for that.

I have colored lights on the tree and colored lights around my door for outside decoration. I'm not sure I agree that white is "classic". People never used to have just white lights...it was colored (and I go waaay back). Maybe the word should be "classy" instead of "classic"?

IMO white lights are boring. Yawn...
I just mean that's all we do outside - no inflated santas, etc. I'm 37, we had multicolored everything in the 70s, maybe I got sick of it ?? I like it boring outside and fun inside. We live in a college neighborhood, you should see what the drunks do with lights, it's blinding LOL
Yeah, I remember last year the colored lights white trash thing, but I diasgree and think white are boring like I said. we have them because my dh got them free...

maybe classic isn't the word. simple maybe? though, it's not the colored lights that make my neighbors crazy-it's the animated Santas, blow up snowglobes, lit up baby jesuses, flashing this and blinking that...
And I LOL every year over the "colored lights are trashy" debates. Hilarious (and obviously not true...)

dh would love to tacky the house up, but I won't let him. I just love white lights and simple decorations. However, one of our favorite things to do is ride around and look at lights. The tackier, the better.
We have colored lights on our trees. We have white lighted garland on our entertainment center and staircase. We have a large front porch with white lighted garland and bows and lighted garland around our front door.

I really only like white/clear lights for myself. We don't have any lights on the outside of the house, but I do have two mini Christmas trees on either side of the front door with clear lights.
People down the block have the white/clear LED's and they are really pretty--almost a white/blue color. When we finally get a porch on this place, we'll do simple lights to outline the roof and then some swags on the porch railing. Obviously, I like simple decorations.
We have white on the tree and colored and white outside with candy cane lights going up the walk way and a bear and santa the inflates and all (but santa and the bear) are pluged in to a box that make our lights flick with christmas music. We went all out this year because its the first year dd knows whats going on.
Re: What color lights do you have on your tree/house?
multi on the tree - it's a mish-mosh of old/inherited/new ornaments, looks better that way I think.
white/clear outside. I like simple/classic outside - clear lights, greenery swags, red bows.

All colored. I only wrap the little tree close to our door and put up a lighted wreath (and a cheesy little snowman my Gramma gave the girls).
ETA: we're definitely trashy!
We have white and colored lights on our tree.
white/clear

That's what I thought when I saw this post! I just opened to see if the g reat debate on Xmas lights continued.
to answer the op: we have white on our tree and none outside yet
