Two Under 2

what I want in a double stroller...

Hi,

I know double stroller posts are popular but I am overwhelmed with the choices and it looks like I won't get to try out most in stores bc I don't know where the high end strollers are carried.

Here is what I would like:

Side by side that fits through a store doorway

Can fit the Graco snugride infant carrier

Can easily steer over rough sidewalks and other things that get in the way (you know - sometimes there is a lip through a doorway and you have to give the stroller and extra shove...with one hand?)

A good visor would be a bonus.

Does your stroller fit this description?  Thanks for sharing!

Re: what I want in a double stroller...

  • I just bought a Baby Jogger City Classic, it has the air filled tires so it's a bit heavy, but it's an "all terrain" stroller. It is less than 30" so yes fits through standard doors. I believe it fits the Graco carseat. And has excellent canopies. I found mine on sale for $350. Also the BJ City Mini looks great, it is a little lighter and has 8" wheels (not air filled, so lighter, but not as great for all terrain). GL!
  • Sounds like ours! We have the Bumbleride Indie Twin. It's a side by side and is less than 30 inches wide, so it fits through standard doors. Both sides have independently adjustable back and foot rests. It came with canopy extenders, so the canopies are very nice and large. The handle adjusts to a variety of heights and is comfortable to hold. The tires are air-inflated, so they're great for "all-terrain". The front wheels swivel so it turns on a dime! And it accomodates our Graco car seat with the car-seat adaptor.

    Good luck!
