getting a cavity filled

has anyone had a cavity filled when pregnant? my period was supposed to show up today, but it has not. im not charting, and i'm still too nervous too test. i just want to wait out the rest of the week and see what happens.

anyway, i just realized u have to get a cavity filled tomorrow though. is it safe? do i have to tell my dentist? what should i say? she is a family friend of my in laws so it's super awkward. . .

If they have to do an x-ray just make sure you are covered with the lead vest. I had three at my last appointment.

No gas...the shot is ok.

I had my tooth pulled last week...

i got 2 cavities filled when i was about 27 weeks along.  i asked the dentist if it was safe while pg and he said yes, but i called my OB to check too and they agreed!

My OB told me no to laughing gas but novocaine was ok and yes.

i'm having a root canal on wed that was ok'd by the dentist, ob, and endodontist.  as long as it's a local anesthetic.  and i would tell the dentist just in case something happens and they try to give you meds or something else after you can't speak anymore.
