1. DC 1 and 2 do. Maile, who is 12.5 months, wakes once per night.
2. No way. My older 2 are in their own bed usually, and I get up to check on them. Honestly, I miss them and can't sleep all night without getting up to look at their beautiful sleeping faces
3. Ha! Well, he works nights but he gets about 6-8 hours straight sleep. The man sleeps like a log. I can "wake" him up to talk to him during his sleep, he'll have an intelligent conversation, and never remember a word of it when he actually gets up.
No to all of the above, but DH & I were both heavy sleepers who rarely woke up before Ari arrived. When I was pregnant I had wicked insomnia from late into 2nd tri onward. I think it was breaking me in.
DS wakes 2-3 times per night. I don't imagine he'll STTN anytime soon - he's a hungry kid. He inherited my metabolism. This is one of the reasons I don't think we'll be done bedsharing/co-sleeping anytime soon either - it makes nightwaking much easier.

No, no, and no. But I'm sure DH and I will again when DD does! And thanks, Moroccojade, for asking this. I have a lot of people telling me that DD should be sttn by now. I try to ignore them, but it's nice to have a reminder that my LO is not the only one still waking.
1. We are getting 4-5 hour streches out of her a night! I consider myself really lucky:)
2. I do not sleep more than an hour or two at a time. This is the hardest part for us as a family. I stir at every movement she makes and so I am not sleeping much at all.
3. DH sleeps until Saide wakes up and it is time for him to go change her diaper or when she is done eating to burp and keep her upright. He would sleep through anything if she didnt need him!

NO! NO! NO! Do the caps and exclamation points make me seem angry? LOL DS usually dream nurses twice each night. No one gets out of bed. The last couple days have been rough, though. Teething? 6 month growth spurt? Something...

DS didn't STTN until oneish, I really don't remember because I didn't want to mark the days I wasn't STTN. It's a pleasant blur now. And I actually might consider another baby

3. Does your S/O? He can if he's not awakened by me or DS!!
Childhood cancer (DH) + chemo + radiation = 0 sperm.
LO #1 - 1 unmedicated/self-monitored IUI w/ donor sperm.
LO #2 - 1 m/c, 2 BFNs, 4th IUI worked (unmedicated/self-monitored with new donor sperm).
Life is beautiful!
1. Technically. So why do I feel like I've been hit by a truck? Perhaps it the refusal to nap?2. I always have woken up once a night as an adult. While pregnant it was hourly. I STTN at 6 weeks.3. He did until fatherhood changed him
If I'm up with the baby DH doesn't sleep becuase he's constantly watching the clock to see how long she's been up. If I get up with her I don't sleep. But if she sleeps I sleep, or if DH gets up with her I sleep!
1) in the 'technical' definition, sometimes. she usually goes 4-6 hrs w/o waking when she first goes down. unless she's teething, like now... then it's bedsharing/side-lying semi-dream-nursing off + on for the rest of the night.
2) nope, see above.
3) no, bless him. he rolls over and asks if we need anything a time or two most nites before falling back into a coma + snoring.
I shouldn't really answer this question because I don't have a baby yet..... so
#1 - have no idea. movements don't wake me, so I'll say yes right now?????
#2 - yes. like a log.
#3 - yes, but lighter than me.
In a couple months this will change obviously, but for now this is how it stands!!!!

1. yes, usually, though teething and illness interfere.
2. not usually, but better since the doctor diagnosed my insomnia issues and put me on meds
3. usually, but if LO does wake up he is the one to get up since my meds make me groggy and not 100% with it enough to take care of him until they wear off at 5 am or so.
Re: S/O STTN poll.
1. no
2. no
3. no
We're hopeless.
I should have added a #4 for pets. I had a pug that snored for 10 hours straight each and every night. At least I'd have a 'yes' up there.

1. Not really. DS doesn't call for me until 5 am, but I think he wakes up often before then and puts himself back to sleep.
2. Never have, probably never will. (Man, am I tired.)
3. Like a frickin' rock. Nothing wakes him.
We're sort of like Baby Bear's porridge: I sleep too lightly, DH sleeps too hard, and DS sleeps juuuuust right. Until 5 am.

1. Nope.
2. Hells no. I am a craptastic sleeper at best.
3. Yes. Jerk can sleep through anything. Brat.

no, no, no
DS has slept through the night ONCE. It was incredible.
1. nope. she does a four hour stretch (tonight starting at 7) then a two hour and then is up about every hour after that.?
2. nope. i should go to bed now. it's 715.
3. most the time. he sleeps through anything. like the 15 min screaming session we had the other night. ugh.?
1. Sometimes

#2) Yes, unless I do something stupid like drink three pints of water and a big glass of milk before bed...or if #1 wakes up.
#3) Almost always. Every once in a while he gets up to pee, but he usually sleeps with earplugs in so he doesn't hear a thing...
1. No
2. I would, but for 1).
3. Normally.

LOL LOL LOL - great answer.
Have you suggested that he learn to "self-soothe"?
