i think i've got some mild braxton hicks.  i had cramps all last week but now these feel more like waves of squeezes that sucks in all the way to my throat it feels like!  w/ my first pregnancy i had them starting at 20w and last time at about 12w.  anyone know how early you can have them?

I've never had contractions that early, but I have very painful growing pains across my lower belly.  They can double me over occasionally.

I would think it'd be stretching/growing pains, but I'm no expert!  Just seems really early.

Your uterus always contracts, even when you're not pregnant, but you don't feel it because it's too small.  You notice your uterus contracting more frequently and stronger as your baby gets bigger because your uterus is bigger!  I'm not sure you are feeling bh contractions but as I said your uterus ALWAYS contracts so it IS having BH contractions even now though most people can't feel it or know this little fact.

I had BH contractions with DS starting mid 1st tri.  My midwife told me that it was completely normal and just my body gearing up.  They woke me up a couple times.  I definately wasn't expecting it the first time it happened!!
