Hi 1st Tri!
I'm coming to join you from GP. We are having #1 after 3 months TTC at age 35 (and yes, I realize how lucky we are). Like many others we got our BFP over the Thanksgiving holiday and it really drove the meaning of the holiday home. I'm incredibly nervous given the stats on m/c, particularly given my age, but we've decided to expect the best.
So now confession: I think I like the cramps. They are a constant reminder that I am pregnant... in fact, it weirded me out when they practically disappeared yesterday. I know all the 10 week + ladies are rolling their eyes at me, with a "just you wait!" expression, but for now I'm happy to have them.
I've already learned a lot from all of your by lurking, and I look forward to learning more!
Re: Intro and Confession
Congratulations!
I had cramping early on & now random twinges as things are moving & stretching. You're right. In an odd way it is a comforting reminder that I'm still pg!
H&H 9 months to you!
Thanks, ladies.
And yes, they were scary too at first... until I lurked on here and found out they were completely normal. Now they just make me happy (when I'm not trying to sleep).
I bet I will do the same thing in taking a test if and when they do make a disappearing act!
I'm going to make an AWESOME big brother.
