My Grandmother

It's not looking good.

She's 92 and had breast cancer this past Spring. Now she's in the hospital due to high calcium levels and weakness. It took 2 stays for these doctors to find a tumor in her chest.

I'm praying for her to be pain free.

I'm praying she doesn't die on my mom and brother's birthday (same Bday) on Friday.

I'm praying that Momma will soon be at peace and with Poppa.

And I'm praying for strength... to help my mom, who was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's, since she is very fragile right now.

Robyn, I am so sorry that you are going through this. my moms bday is Friday and my paternal grandmother died on the 7th. I remember praying that she would not die on my moms bday. I pray that she goes in peace any other day but Friday. I hope that your mom handles her loss ok and that she gets the best medical care to be with you as long as possible.

Wow... our moms have the same birthday.  My brother, too.  And my best friend's brother and my college boyfriend's sister... but I digress.

Well, NOW the doctor isn't sure it IS a tumor. But they have NO CLUE what is wrong and why her calcium levels are increased and she is so weak.

I'm so stressed with other stuff?financial issues, Aaron's specialist visits this week?that I'm not really able to think straight. I just hope that Momma either gets well or passes without pain. I don't want her suffering any longer.

I am so sorry Robyn. I hope she's at peace soon, too. Am also so sorry to hear about your mom's diagnosis. You are dealing with so much right now. It may not feel like it all the time but you are an incredibly strong lady!

Whatever.  

I don't know how much time Momma has. If it's days or weeks. But I know she won't be around forever. And, sadly, when she's gone I'll likely completely lose touch with my aunt and her daughters. I'm tired of not living up to their expectations and don't want Aaron to see how I change around them.

Wow! She has been through a lot.  What a courageous lady.  I hope she finds peace soon.  Given all you have been through with Aaron, I know you will find the strength to help your mother.

Oh I am so sorry I pray that she will be comfortable and have peace soon. Please don't forget to take care of yourself also, sometimes we get so involved in taking care of others that we forget about ourselves.
